Unveiling the Renovated Squash Courts at JGC Mandi
We are thrilled to announce that the complete renovation of the Joginder Gymkhana Club Squash Courts is now finished. The project, which took three months of meticulous construction, features international-standard hardwood flooring, improved back glass walls, and a state-of-the-art LED lighting layout to ensure high visibility matches. The tournament courts will officially open for member bookings starting next Monday. A friendly match between state champions is scheduled for Saturday evening at 6:00 PM to celebrate the launch. We welcome all squash players to come and inspect the upgraded venue.

Over the past 99 years, the club has played host to royalty, state leaders, and generations of families, maintaining its traditional charm while slowly updating facilities to match modern standards. Monsoon Lawn Tennis Championship 2026 Concludes
The annual Monsoon Lawn Tennis Championship at Joginder Gymkhana Club concluded this past Sunday with a thrilling final match in the Men's Singles category. Despite brief rains, the clay courts performed exceptionally well under our new drainage system. The tournament featured over 48 players competing across Men's, Women's, and Junior brackets. Congratulations to all final winners and runners-up! The trophy ceremony was followed by a celebratory tea on the club lawn.
Chef's Special: Introducing the New Royal Himachali Menu
Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Verma, is proud to introduce the new 'Royal Himachali Menu' at the Club's heritage dining hall. Featuring traditional recipes sourced from local heritage homes, the menu highlights includes Siddu with ghee, Madra, Chha Gosht, and Tudkiya Bhath. Every dish is prepared using organic grains and locally sourced wild herbs to bring authentic regional flavors directly to your table. Table bookings can be made online or through the reception counter starting this Friday.
Upcoming Classical Sitar Recital & Cultural Evening
Mark your calendars for a soul-stirring evening of classical music at the Joginder Gymkhana Club Main Lounge. We are honored to host world-renowned Sitar virtuoso Pandit Sharma for an exclusive performance this coming Saturday. The performance will focus on evening ragas, accompanied by tabla rhythm play. Entry is free for members and their accompanied guests. High tea will be served starting at 5:30 PM, with the recital beginning at 6:30 PM sharp.
JGC Annual Bridge Tournament: Call for Entries
The JGC Bridge Committee is pleased to invite registration for the Annual Duplicate Bridge Championship 2026. The tournament will be held in the Club Card Room on Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26. The competition will run under standard duplicate bridge rules and is open to members and affiliate clubs. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the top three pairs. Please submit entry forms at the club admin desk by July 20.
Eco-Friendly Initiative: JGC Mandi Goes Single-Use Plastic Free
In alignment with the club's commitment to preserve the beautiful natural environment of Mandi and the surrounding valleys, Joginder Gymkhana Club is officially banning single-use plastic bottles, cups, and cutlery within all club grounds. Water dispensers are being installed across sports fields, and biodegradable containers will replace plastic in all dining takeaway orders. We seek the active cooperation of our members to make this green transition a success.
Summer Swimming Coaching Camp for Member Families
Due to overwhelming demand, the club swimming pool committee is launching a second batch of the Summer Swimming Coaching Camp. The 15-day course is open to kids (ages 6-15) and adults wishing to learn under the guidance of certified NIS coaches. Slots are limited to 20 participants per batch to ensure individual attention. Registration opens tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM on a first-come, first-served basis.
